July weather on beautiful Temiskaming Shores. Eight returning beverage companies, plus two new additions. Great food and entertainment. And another $100,000 raised (we expect) in support of local charities.

The eighth annual North on Tap Beer Festival is less than two weeks away and organizers are looking forward to another success. The event includes a beer-themed golf tournament and alcohol-free family night on July 10. The actual festival happens on Saturday, July 11, at Harbour Place in Haileybury.
“We’re less than two weeks away and things are going well,” says Hugo Rivet, a founder and volunteer with the festival. “We’re happy to see eight great vendors supporting us again this year. And pleased to welcome two new breweries: Lake of the Woods and Common Good Beer.”
First held 10 years ago (they lost two years because of COVID) North On Tap highlights craft breweries, wines and cocktails, along with regional music and food. All proceeds support local charities and non-profits.

Last year, the total raised to date reached $525,600. “We are so pleased to see our proceeds surpass the half-million-dollar mark,” explained spokesperson Danielle Belanger-Corbin. “With this milestone, we have given back over half a million dollars to various worthwhile causes in our area while offering a truly unique and popular event.”
The committee divided $100,100 between three charities in 2025. $53,000 went towards roof repairs and other projects at care facility for seniors, $27,000 purchased a second ECG machine for the hospital and $20,100 supported a children’s reading program.

Tickets for this year’s festival are $40 and available at northontap.ca
In the meantime, enjoy the photos from last year’s event. It was well worth the trip. We enjoyed a great festival.
